WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS)- The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch for some West Virginia counties ahead of Saturday’s storm.
According to the NWS, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Saturday morning through Saturday evening for the following West Virginia counties: Hampshire, Morgan, Berkeley, Jefferson, Hardy, Western Grant, Eastern Grant, Western Mineral, Eastern Mineral, Western Pendleton, and Eastern Pendleton.
Residents can expect heavy mixed precipitation, with the potential for snow accumulations exceeding five inches and ice accumulations surpassing one-quarter of an inch, according to the NWS.
Slippery road conditions are also expected.
