WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Wyoming County Schools has issued an announcement of Valentine’s Day pertaining to gifts and floral arrangements.
The announcement offers guidelines to florists and those preparing Valentine’s gifts for students for this year’s holiday in the interest of insuring bus safety.
Some guidelines provided including making deliveries after the conclusion of lunch but no later than 30 minutes before bus call, refraining from use of glass containers or sharp objects, and refraining from use of arrangements of over 16 inches in height to insure bus driver visibility is not affected.
The full list of Valentine’s Day guidelines as issued by Wyoming County Schools can be seen below.
- Deliveries should be made after lunch to the office or to a designated area and be completed 30 minutes prior to bus call.
- The student’s full name should be visible on the arrangement.
- Balloons or inflatable figurines should be kept or three or less with a diameter of 14 inches or less.
- Glass containers cannot be used.
- Use no sharp objects
- Keep the arrangement to 16 inches in height or less. This will allow the students to hold the arrangements on their laps as they travel and not block the visibility of the students or the driver.
- If the arrangement does not meet the above listed guidelines, the florists should notify parents to pick-up their child’s floral arrangement at school.
Those with questions regarding the delivery of floral arrangements to Wyoming County schools are encouraged to contact their child’s school or Jeffrey Hylton, Director of Safety & Transportation.
