WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Upcoming changes to the implementation of school lunch in Wyoming County Schools were announced on Monday in a statement from the Wyoming County Board of Education.
These changes will entail providing students with “main” and “fast” line options in all Wyoming County Schools, with the main line offering homemade style meal options with the exception of emergencies and supply chain issues.
The statement also reveals that the board is currently dealing with ongoing supply chain issues, and requests patience during instances of menu changes.
It was also announced that, in addition to the traditional after-school snack, Wyoming County Schools will not be offering a free after-school supper for students staying for after-school tutoring, homework help, and other enrichment activities.
These meals will be provided through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and will use the same meal pattern as those in the summer meal program.
Those with questions are encouraged to contact Rhonda Thomas, Director of Child Nutrition and General Wellness Programs, at (304) 732-6262.
