BECKLEY WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Commission assembled on Tuesday for their regular 10:00am session.
Budget revisions and approvals were a significant aspect of the meeting, and grants, amendments, and reappointments were among the topics addressed.
An early item on the 7/12/22 session agenda was the approval of a DUI grant – a recurring $5,000 grant for the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department earmarked for the execution of DUI checkpoint areas – which saw unanimous approval from the commission.
Also approved was drawdown #4 for the Raleigh County Memorial Airport Broadband Expansion Project, an approval that passed in the amount of $22,500.00.
Finally, a budget amendment request for the Raleigh County Memorial Airport Broadband Expansion Project was assessed. This request, which was ultimately approved and passed before the commission, will see $900 transferred from the construction line to the engineering line for the implementation of the project.
