ANSTED, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A fire on Christmas day has left one person in the hospital.
According to the Ansted Fire Department, at 5:45 PM on Christmas evening crews with the Ansted, Nuttall, and Fayetteville Fire Departments along with JanCare Ambulance were dispatched to a well-involved house fire with entrapment.
Upon arrival, the occupants of the home were outside and fire crews were faced with widespread fire, heat, and smoke in the structure. Crews worked for approximately three hours to extinguish the fire.
The house was a total loss and one person is currently in the hospital in critical condition.
No other information has been released at this time.
