ANSTED, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Certain town functions may need to put on hold Wednesday after a power outage in the Ansted area has reportedly shut down Ansted Town Hall temporarily.
The nature of the outage, which reported via a statement from the Town of Ansted late Wednesday morning, is unclear at this time as it appears to have occurred under relatively agreeable weather conditions.
It is also unclear at the time of writing whether the outage occurred exclusively at the Town Hall building or if other areas throughout Ansted are seeing the effects of the impetus of the incident.
With temperatures currently sitting in the early 40s with clear, mostly sunny skies, and set to plateau in the mid-40s with partly-to-mostly cloudy conditions to persist throughout the afternoon, it is unlikely that the power outage at hand has occurred due to the result of the weather in the area.
Wednesday’s statement indicates that updates pertaining to the announcement and outage in question are to be expected soon.
The week’s mostly agreeable conditions are not expected to persist through the weekend, however, with temperatures anticipated to plummet between Friday and Saturday from 42 degrees to a concerting 15 degrees.
While those hoping to fully immerse themselves in the spirit of Christmas may be pleased with the development, which falls in line with a traditional Christmas atmosphere, West Virginians should also take care to ensure their travel and holiday arrangements are not affected by the drastic changes in temperature.
LOOTPRESS will continue to provide updates to this situation as information becomes available.
