BLUEFIELD, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Bluefield will be kicking off the 25th year of its Holiday of Lights Drive-Thru Lights Display before the Thanksgiving leftovers are cold.
City Manager Cecil Marson will flip the switch at exactly 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, setting Lotito Park ablaze with more than one million lights.
The Bluefield Fire Department and the Bluefield Police Department will lead the first lap around the dazzling display while viewers travel behind them from the comfort of their own cars. The path through the park is paved.
There is no admission to the Holiday of Lights; however, donations are gladly accepted at the exit.
The Holiday of Lights display operates from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The display will close for the year on January 2, 2022.
Holiday of Lights organizers suggest that those planning to visit the display check their Facebook page for weather-related cancellations.
