BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley Water Company announced Thursday the lifting of a precautionary boil water advisory issued for several locations in the Raleigh County area.
A precautionary advisory issued by the Beckley Water Company on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 for Murray Street, Front Street, and Sprague Avenue was lifted on Thursday.
The precautionary advisory also applied to Elkins Street, specifically the area from 116 to 217 Elkins Street.Â
This advisory was issued due to a broken main line, but subsequent testing results have confirmed that the water quality once again meets standards for drinking, eliminating the need to continue boiling prior to consumption.
