RICHLANDS, VA (LOOTPRESS)– Clinch Valley Health in Richlands changes to a limited visitor policy because of rising Covid cases in Southwest Virginia.
The hospital posted the updated guidelines on their Facebook page today at 4:50 pm. Clinch Health Valley is transitioning to a limited visitation policy. According to the policy, general visitation allows one visitor per patient per day between 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
For emergencies, one visitor per patient is at the discretion of the emergency staff. For the ICU, one visitor over 18 per patient per day must provide proof of a Covid vaccination. Visitors are required to wear a gown, gloves, and face covering.
The skilled nursing unit is the only unit that allows for multiple visitors on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.
There is no visitation for Covid patients unless it is an end-of-life situation. All visitors must sign in and wear face coverings inside the building.
“At Clinch Valley Health, our top priority is safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our patients, providers, employees, and community,” stated the post.
