LOGAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The C&O Modelers Weekend being held at Chief Logan State Park is quickly approaching but there is still time to register.
The St. Albans C&O Modelers will once again be hosting the C&O Modelers Weekend at Chief Logan State Park from Friday, March 22, to Saturday, March 23.
This annual event celebrates the rich history and intricate details of the Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) Railway and is a must-attend for model railroad enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned railroad modeler or just starting, the C&O Modelers Weekend is the perfect event to learn, network, and draw inspiration from the surrounding heritage and fellow enthusiasts.
The event will also feature presentations from historians and modelers alike including Mike Burgett, a signal expert who has a “Smithsonian Quality” model of the C&O James River Subdivision.
There will also be a railfanning/train watching guide presented to those in attendance on Friday night. There will be free time for train watching on Saturday. Logan is the second busiest terminal in tonnage on CSX.
