CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The coldest air of the fall season will roll into the area Tuesday night.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Charleston, the coldest air of the fall season moves in tonight through Wednesday morning amid breezy to gusty conditions.
High temperatures Tuesday in the mountains will reach the mid-teens and 20s; while the lowlands will see the temperatures in the low to mid-30s.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for portions of Pocahontas and Randolph Counties from 7 PM until 2 PM Tuesday.
Snow showers will continue at times across the higher terrain into Tuesday afternoon. An additional 1-2″ is possible in the northern mountains, with isolated higher amounts.
Dry conditions will build in areawide Tuesday evening through midweek. A warming trend will begin on Wednesday.
