“This is an opportunity to see the newest branch of the WV Judicial System in action,” read a statement from the Concord University President’s Office. “We would love you to come to the ‘Campus Beautiful’ and see our newly designed theatre.”
The main theatre area was reopened during a ribbon-cutting event in August which commemorated the initial phase of multiple planned renovations.
“We have more to accomplish,” said Concord University President Dr. Kendra Boggess during the ceremony, alluding to plans which are already in place for Phase II of the renovations which will reportedly include lighting, technical and stage support, and new seating for the black box theatre area.
The newly renovated Main Theatre section can accommodate nearly 800 patrons, and additionally features upgrades such as a new carpet, new curtain, new seats, and new technology.
