Hometown Trail Days events schedule released

BRADSHAW, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The events schedule for McDowell County’s Hometown Trail Days in Bradshaw, WV has been announced.

Set to take place on Friday, May 19, 2023 and Saturday, May 20, 2023, the event will feature open trail rides, food, drinks, entertainment, and an assortment of vendors which will be available to guests who partake.

The full events schedule for this year’s Hometown Trail Days as announced by the McDowell County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau can be seen below.

Friday May 19th Event Schedule

(Events Subject to Change)

Not all vendors will not accept debit/credit cards so please bring cash.

Event passes, Poker Run, Cornhole Tournament and Inflatables are Cash only. Please keep in mind there is 1 ATM in town and a couple near town.

  • 7am to 10am Grab & Go Breakfast Location: 10059 Marshall Hwy Bradshaw WV
    Upon the Rock Ministries (downtown Bradshaw) will be selling Grab & Go breakfast
  • 8am-2pm Check-in Location: Bradshaw Event Center, 10440 Marshall Hwy
    Online Pass, Guided Tour Ride and T-shirt Purchases can be picked up here. Two Day and One Day Mud Event Passes, Guided Tour Rides and Hometown Trail Days T-Shirts can be purchased here as well. Everyone MUSI sign a liability waiver. The Liability Waiver can be printed at https://whometowntraildavs.com/liabilitv-waiver-2/. Anyone presenting a liability waiver under the age of 18 will have to have a parent/guardian present. ID will be required to pick up online passes.
  • 8am to 5pm Vendors and Food Trucks
    5pm to 10pm
    The following Vendors and Food Trucks will be at the Bradshaw Event Area.
    Chillers, S&L Grilling, Hilltop Coffee, and Buffalo Mountain Powersports Town will not be closed on Friday. Traffic won’t be detoured.
    At 5pm food trucks and vendors will open at the Music and Mud Event Area.
  • All Weekend Open Trail Rides
    Registered Participants can pick up an Open Ride Map of the local trails at the Getting
  • Outdoors Vendor Tent next to Registration (8am-4pm)
  • 9am 4pm Guided Tours of Local Trails
    9am to 12pm Friday and Saturday
    1pm to 4pm Friday and Saturday
    $10 per machine. These can be purchased at Eventbrite

    or at check-in on Friday and Saturday.
    No riding permits are required for these tours.
    Please check in at the guided tour ride tent at least 15 minutes prior to start time of the tour.

The following events will take place at the Music and Mud Event Area. 116 Stanton Drive:

Only ATV/SXS & Dirt Bikes and vehicles with a handicap plaque or tag will be allowed

There will be a hayride to transport people to the Music & Mud Event Area. No Vehicles other than those described above and residents will be allowed across the Coal Camp Bridge

  • 5pm-10pm Music and Mud Event Area
  • Single- and Two-Day Pass holders – admission and participation in all events are included. You will need to check in at the Mud Event Tent if you plan to participate in the mud events or to purchase tickets.Admission tickets will be sold at the entrance to the Music and Mud Event Area for $5 for everyone 6 and older. This will cover your access to view all mud events, and music. If you do not have an event pass but plan to buy one at the event you will be required to purchase an admission ticket. The cost of the admission ticket will be deducted from the purchase price of your event pass when purchased if presented at the time of purchase.

    The following vendors will be at the Music and Mud Event Area

    Bandit BBQ, The Food Dude and S&L Grilling will be selling food and Buffalo Mountain Powersports will be available to purchase items for your ATV/SXS or Dirt Bike.

    All Participants will be required to follow the instructions of the event staff at ALL TIMES or you will be ejected from the event with no refund.

    • 5pm-6pm Tug of War (Helmets Required to Participate, No exceptions)
      For Friday or 2 Day Event Pass Holders only
    • 6pm-10pm Music
      Included with Friday Admission ticket ($5) and Friday or 2 Day Event Pass Holders only
    • 6pm to 8pm Lily Comer
      8pm to 10pm Two of a Kind
    • 6pm-10pm Grudge Matches, Drag Race, Obstacle Course (Helmets Required to
    • Participate, No exceptions)

    Friday and 2 day Event Pass Holders. Single Event Passes can be purchased for the Grudge Matches and Drag Races at Mud Event Participation Registration Area Participation in Tug of War and Obstacle Course will require a Mud Event Pass. (These passes also include your admission.

    • $30 plus tax 1 day pass
      $60 plus tax 2 day pass (Free shirt and goody bag with 2 day pass purchase)

There will be prizes for the Tug of War, Drag Race, Obstacle Course and Mud Run Please see below for ways to purchase your passes prior to the events

Will be doing FREE wood carving demonstrations throughout the day. You can place orders with Hobby By Heart.

Cost: $10/machine. $5 for each additional passenger.

  • 9am-4pm Scavenger Hunt Location: Downtown Bradshaw
    Free for everyone. Clues will be posted at the town hall. Details and instructions will be posted with clues on Saturday.
