HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce held its 132nd Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday presented by Mountain Health Network.
The annual event, a celebration of “hope, beginnings, and possibilities,” saw attendance from several community leaders, including West Virginia Secretary of Economic Development Mitch Carmichael, Mountain Health Network CEO Dr. Kevin Yingling, and Marshall University Chief Legal Officer Toney Stroud who participated in a fireside chat which was moderated by Barry Burgess, 2023 Chair of the Huntington REgional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Managing Partner at Somerville & Company, PLLC.
Multiple awards were presented throughout the evening to local leadership, including the 2022 Stephen G. Roberts Leadership Award sponsored by Encova Insurance, which was awarded to City of Huntington Mayor Steve Williams.
Xavier Staggs of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC received the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year award, while Rebecca Stephens of the Marshall University Alumni & Foundation was the recipient of the 2022 Generation Huntington (Huntington Young Professionals) Volunteer of the Year award.
Lastly, Andrea Meadows of Benefit Plan Services was awarded as the 2022 Women’s Impact Network Volunteer of the Year.
