CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Kanawha County Schools (KCS) has announced that all schools within the county will be participating in a lockdown drill on Thursday.
KCS says as part of its continued efforts to keep the school community safe and prepared for emergency situations, KCS will conduct its first countywide lockdown drill today, Thursday, September 7th.
These drills may last up to thirty minutes and are routine. There is no cause for alarm.
“We appreciate your cooperation by not entering the schools during a lockdown drill. If you have any questions please call your school after the drill is over,” KCS stated in a Facebook post.
