BLACKSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A large rubber fire near the West Virginia and Pennsylvania state line saw a quick response from agencies in both states.
At approximately 12 PM today the Greene County Emergency Management and Department of Emergency Services were requested by Monongalia County, WV to respond with the Region 13 Task Force foam trailer to assist on a large rubber fire at Chissy’s Recycling on Mason Dixon Highway near Blacksville, WV.
Once Greene County emergency services were en route with the foam trailer, Monongalia County officials called advising that the fire was just across the state line in Greene County.
The fire was extinguished using only water with many agencies responding to assist.
