BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces charges after stabbing his girlfriend, saying she was sitting on her bed, appearing to be “evil” and “possibly possessed.”
According to the State Police, troopers responded to Bramwell Road in Bluefield, WV, regarding a man, Roger Watkins, who had stabbed his girlfriend. When they arrived, the victim was being treated by Bluefield Rescue Squad. The victim had several lacerations but refused to go to the hospital.
The victim said she was sleeping when Roger Watkins came into the room and stabbed her. The victim went on to say that Watkins said he was going to kill her. She grabbed a pillow and attempted to defend herself. She eventually fought him off and ran out the door to call for help.
Police say they observed blood on the bed and a pillow to be ripped.
When police interviewed Watkins, he stated that the victim was sitting on her bed and appeared to be “evil” and “possibly possessed.” Watkins then said his girlfriend lunged at him with a knife, which he then stabbed her.
Watkins has had two previous convictions of domestic battery. Troopers charged him with a third offense: domestic battery, assault, and malicious wounding. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 10,000 dollar cash-only bond.
