MULLENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Mullens hosted its annual Chili Night on Thursday, and the winners of the evening’s chili cook off event have been announced by the Mullens Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event took place in the City Municipal Parking Lot on September 15th, and the streets were lined with folks partaking in the evening’s festivities.
Along with the various vendors and activities for those in attendance to enjoy, superlatives were awarded for the chili cook off event, the winners of which were announced on Friday.
The Rusted Musket took home the first place prize for “regular chili,” with Wyoming County Vo-Tech taking second.
Sound Mind kicked things up a notch to secure the prize for “hottest chili,” while Mullens Fire Department came in second.
The Rusted Musket also laid claim to the “best decorated booth,” followed by Wyoming County 4H.
Finally, Mullens Middle School and Mullens Fire Department were awarded first and second place, respectively, for “people’s choice.”
