NICHOLAS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Nicholas County Schools will stay open during the April 8th solar eclipse.
According to Nicholas County Schools, in preparation for the Monday, April 8 solar eclipse, solar glasses have been ordered for all Nicholas County students and teachers.
Nicholas County Schools Superintendent Terrence Beam says they are seizing on the one-of-a-kind event.
“We feel that this is a unique opportunity for our students to experience this rare phenomenon,” Beam said. “Teachers are encouraged to prepare a short lesson in preparation for this event.”
West Virginia is not in the path of totality but will see a partial eclipse with the maximum view occurring on Mon, Apr 8, 2024, at 3:15 pm.
