HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Summers County fire which occurred over the weekend has led to the hospitalization of one individual.
On Sunday, November 13, 2023, Mike Gore of the Summers County Commission advised that Summers County’s Hinton House building had been impacted by a fire, which primarily affected one room of the structure.
However, as a result of apparent smoke and water damage to the binding itself, those inside the structure were evacuated as a result.
No fatalities have been reported as a result of the incident, though one individual is said to have been hospitalized following the incident.
The scene saw response from several entities including Summers County Volunteer Fire Department, Hinton City Fire, JB Nimitz Center, Talcott Volunteer Fire Department members, Summers County 911, and Summers County EMS.
The Red Cross has reportedly since been working to assist residents of the area impacted by these events.
”Summers County coming together in time of need, thanks to all involved,” said Commissioner Gore in a statement.
