HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Members of the Huntington Violent Crime/Drug Task Force apprehended a Detroit man Thursday, May 12, on weapons and drug charges following a traffic stop in the 600 block of 5th Avenue.
During the traffic stop, officers arrested Brandon Lamar McCauley, 30. He was found to be in possession of a firearm and more than 70 grams of suspected fentanyl and heroin. The drugs have an estimated street value of $8,500.
McCauley also is on parole in West Virginia for a voluntary manslaughter conviction stemming
from a February 2016 shooting in Marcum Terrace.
He was formerly featured as one of Detroit’s
most wanted fugitives by the U.S. Marshals Service, a police spokesman said.
