MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A planned power outage set to occur this week will impact hundreds of customers throughout the Monongalia County area.
According to Monongalia County Emergency Management, Mon Power has reportedly scheduled a power outage which will impact 425 customers.
The planned outage has been put in place so as to facilitate upgrades to facilities, and will occur on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Reports indicate that critical facilities will not be affected by the upgrades in question.
Areas which stand to be affected by the outage include those within the vicinity of Burton, Fairview, Hundred, Mannington, Wadestown, and Wanna.
The planned interruption of service will occur from approximately 9:00am to 12:00pm on Thursday.
Those with questions pertaining to the interruption in service have been encouraged to contact Mon Power Customer Service at (800) 686-0022. Additionally, all impacted customers should receive notification by way of a phone message prior to the outage itself.
