PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Princeton is excited to announce new basketball goals are being installed in the city’s parks. New poles and polycarbonate backboards are replacing the older goal systems that are at the playgrounds on Valley Street, Lower Pine Street, Knob Street, Washington Avenue, and Oliver Avenue.
Each playground will have two new basketball goals installed, with the exception of the playground on Knob Street, which will have four goals.
“This project has been in the works for some time now, and it is exciting to see it become a reality. Many individuals are leaving city limits to go and play on goals like these. Now we will have 12 new goals to play on at 5 different community playgrounds,” said Amanda McCabe, Princeton Park and Recreation Director. “These basketball goals are going to be a huge upgrade for our parks. They will provide something new and exciting for the community to enjoy.”
