Patricia R. Stover, 55, of Nitro passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Patty was a former employee of the City of Charleston Street Department. She was compassionate about baking, taking road trips, visiting waterfalls, and taking nature pictures. She loved playing with all the great nieces and nephews and had nicknames for each of them. If there was a good time to be had, Patty would’ve been in the center of it. She was like the kid with the stick poking the hornets’ nest.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Jerry” Stover, her mother Esther McCallister, and her father Roy Adkins.
Patty is survived by her fur babies Russell and Roscoe, her daughter Amanda and granddaughter Samantha Loudermilk, her sister Lena McGuire of Poca, nieces Hanna Hammonds (Burton & Charlie) of Bancroft, Rebecca Dawson (Callie) of Melbourne, FL, Brandi Dawson (Haleigh, Justin, and Avery) of Poca, bonus family Joe McCallister of Nitro (Missy, Debbie, Donna, & Joe), brothers-in-law Frank Stover (Karen, Christina) of Hurricane, Donald Stover (Jessica, Jana) of NC, nephews Alvin Stover, Jr. and Michael Stover both of Hurricane, Uncles Ralph Douglas of Nitro and Bobby Douglas of Marmet, Aunt Ellen Coleman (James) of Ohio. She is also survived by many extended family members and a host of friends near and far.
Patty’s wishes to be cremated are being honored by her family.
