UPSHUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Police are searching for a man who cut off his home confinement monitoring device.
According to the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office, just before midnight on Thursday, March 14, 2024, Robert Carl Beam JR AKA “RJ” cut the strap on his Home Confinement electronic monitoring device.
RJ is currently wanted for one (1) count of Escape of Custody, a Felony.
RJ was charged on December 19, 2023, with five (5) counts of possession of a firearm, one (1) count of possession of a stolen vehicle, and one (1) count of possession of Bald Eagle parts.
He was incarcerated at Tygart Valley Regional Jail until Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at which time he was bonded out on a modified bond of $20,000 cash/surety.
Due to previous charges of wanton endangerment involving a firearm, multiple fleeing with reckless indifference in a vehicle, and multiple escapes from custody, RJ is considered to possibly be armed and dangerous.
RJ poses an extreme danger to public safety due to reckless driving while fleeing from Law Enforcement.
