Matt Roberts Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Raleigh General Hospital on Harper Road has announced that he is resigning from the position due to personal reasons.
Roberts, who has served as RGH’s CEO since 2016, will officially step down at the end of year.
RGH Marketing Director Courtney White released a statement regarding the news:
“Matt Roberts will be leaving his position as chief executive officer (CEO) of Raleigh General Hospital at the end of the year to pursue a new opportunity.”
Since 2016, Matt has led our team at RGH in providing high quality healthcare to our community. We will always be grateful for his leadership and service to our hospital and region, and we wish him well in his new venture.”
White’s statement continued to share that RGH looks forward to sharing an update with the community once Roberts’ place has been filled.
Until then, Vickie Demers, CEO of Logan Regional Medical Center, a LifePoint Health facility in Logan, will act as interim CEO.
