TEXAS (LOOTPRESS) – On May 21, 2002, construction workers found an incomplete human skeleton off Highway 135, south of Swamp City Road in Gregg County, Texas.
The Tarrant County ME estimated the deceased to be a White or Hispanic female of petite build and between 16-30 years of age. The young woman had an unrepaired cleft palate and lip.
No clothes were reported with the remains; the cause and manner of death have not been disclosed.
Authorities speculate the deceased died up to two years before being discovered.
It was announced in March 2021 that she or her family may be from the Mount Airy area of Surry County, North Carolina, Raleigh County, West Virginia, and Patrick County, Virginia, with last names of interest being Bowman, Niten/Knighton, Gray, and Jessup.
