Additional Details
Showers and storms passing through the region this morning will provide a stabilizing influence with mainly dry conditions expected from late morning into the early afternoon. This should allow temperatures to recover into the middle 80s by late this afternoon. A complex of storms is expected to form across the lower Ohio Valley in advance of a cold front and approach our western counties as early as 4-5 PM this evening. The primary threats with these storms will be damaging wind gusts and locally very heavy rainfall. A brief tornado is also possible as these storms enter our forecast area from the Tri-State down the Tug Fork. The severe threat will wane as storms progress to the east this evening.
