WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Precipitation chances ramp up during today, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours, as a system approaches the region.
Strong to severe storms are possible, particularly across parts of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and areas along and near the Ohio River.
Damaging winds are the primary threat, but a threat of tornadoes exists once again. In addition to thunderstorms on Thursday, gusty winds will develop once again across the region.
This could lead to additional tree damage, with many trees already weakened or damaged from last week’s weather.
Showers and cooler weather are expected for Friday, with drier conditions over the weekend.
