BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – The United Way of Southern West Virginia has announced its fall Denim for a Difference fundraising project.
The fundraiser will be held the week of October 25 through October 29, 2021. During this time, businesses are encouraged to team up with the United Way and allow their employees to wear denim to work for the donation of $5 per day, $10 for three days and $15 for the entire week.
The donations go to the United Way’s mission to help those in the community. The organization shared just how far these donations can go and the difference they can make in people’s lives.
“When fire destroys the family home, they are able to find clothing and food in the many food pantries that are supported by the United Way. When a struggling family can’t afford shoes for a pair of growing feet, the Equal Footing Shoe Fund helps to put new shoes on those feet. When a new mother needs supplies for her baby, she can find help in one of the baby pantries that are supported by The United Way of Southern West Virginia.”
Register to participate and make a difference here. The registration deadline is Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
All participating businesses will receive information regarding Denim for a Difference Days and badges for each participating employee who would like to wear one.
