UPDATE: (Wed. February 10, 2021, at 11 am) – RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two men arrested in connection to one person being shot last month in Raleigh County.
According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, on January 26, 2021, during the mid-morning hours, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a gunshot victim at Raleigh General Hospital Emergency room that had reportedly been shot in the Oak Hill area of Fayette County.
Later (early evening), it determined that the victim had actually been shot at a residence on Dakota Court in Colcord located in Raleigh County. Raleigh County Detectives then took over the investigation.
When deputies arrived at the home to speak with witnesses, they saw occupants from within leave in a white sedan. Through investigating, it was learned that Sid Williams, Michael Foley, and Shanit Dye were at the residence along with the victim who was shot. Foley and Williams went to the home with the intent to rob the victim; a fight broke out between the three suspects. The Victim, Devonte Saddler, was ultimately shot.
Saddler was able to tell deputies that Williams and Foley came into the residence and demanded money from him before assaulting him and shooting him.
Foley is charged with robbery and malicious assault. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 50,000 dollar bond.
Williams is charged with robbery, malicious assault, and a fugitive from justice. He is currently in southern Regional Jail under a 75,000 dollar bond.

The victim is identified as Devonte Saddler, age 25, of Chattanooga, TN. He is still undergoing treatment for his injuries.
Detectives with Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office are still actively investigating.
