CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A North Carolina man wanted on an array of violent charges was arrested Saturday by the U.S. Marshals Southern District of West Virginia CUFFED Task Force and Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team members.
According to reports from the U.S. Department of Justice, Tevin D. Seymore – 24 years old of Statesville, NC – was arrested on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 9:45pm at 1300 Renaissance Circle in Charleston, WV.
The department indicates the Seymore was wanted out of Iredell County, North Carolina for First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, Felony Conspiracy, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injuring, and Possession of Firearm by a Felon.
He was additional wanted in reference to a drive-by shooting which took place on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in Statesville, NC. Seymore, Dakota Duke, and Jarvis Black reportedly conspired to commit the shooting which killed Zion Wilder, 19 years old of Statesville, NC. A 15-year-old boy also reportedly sustained a gunshot wound to the head and remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Seymore was arraigned by a Kanawha County Magistrate and is being held without bond at South Central Regional Jail awaiting extradition back to Iredell County, NC. Assistance was also provided by the Charleston Police Department and Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority.
