HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two assailants have been charged for their involvement in a Summers County robbery on Saturday.
According to the Summers County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at approximately 5:00pm, Chief Deputy T.S. Adkins became involved in an investigation regarding a robbery which occurred in the 3rd Avenue area.
Following a short investigation, Chief Deputy T.S. Akins identified the individuals responsible for the incident. Arrest warrants were obtained on Monday, March 27, 2023, by Chief Deputy T.S. Adkins for Joe Gill – 34 years old of Hinton, WV – and Kayla Tavano – 31 of Hinton, WV.
The subjects were later seen traveling by vehicle in the Stokes Drive area and a felony vehicle stop was conducted by Sheriff J.L. Faris and Sergeant T.J. Cochran at which time both individuals were apprehended.
Joe Gill was charged with First Degree Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Battery, Grand Larceny, and Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny.
Kayla Tavana was charged with Accessory to First Degree Robbery and Accessory to Grand Larceny.
