OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A wanted fugitive from Ohio was found passed out with a juvenile inside a running vehicle in Wyoming County.
According to State Police, troopers observed two females asleep inside a running car at a parking lot located in Oceana. Police knocked on the windows several times to get the females to wake up. Once they did, police could smell a strong odor of marijuana from the car.
The adult female, Janyia Stanford, told troopers that there was a little bit of marijuana in the car and handed them a small bag of it. The underage female passenger resisted arrest but was eventually placed in handcuffs.
Troopers discovered Fentanyl, 1,710 in cash, and Marijuana. The juvenile said the Fentanyl was hers and that Stanford shouldn’t be arrested.
Stanford was wanted out of Ohio and was considered armed and dangerous, known to abuse drugs, and had violent tendencies.
Both suspects were arrested. Stanford was charged with possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit a felony, and delinquency of a minor. She is being held under a 25,000 dollar bond.
