UPDATE: LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Residents in areas affected the Monday’s main water line break in Lewisburg now have full access to their water utilities per the City of Lewisburg.
As projected earlier in the day Wednesday, flushing and testing have resulted in the lifting of boil water advisories issued in the following areas:
Renick, Church Street (from Carnegie Hall to McElhenny) Route 60 to Battle Hill Farm, Muddy Creek Mountain Road, and Houfnaggle Road.

UPDATE: LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Wednesday reports from the City of Lewisburg confirm that the city has begun the process of flushing the water system for various affected areas following a Monday night main water line break which left many residents without water for a time.
The flushing of these systems precedes planned testing to confirm comsitions so that remaining boil water advisories may be lifted.
These processes are currently being undertaken for the Renick area and the area including Church Street (from Carnegie Hall to McElhenny,) Route 60 to Battle Hill Farm, Muddy Creek Mountain Road and Houfnaggle Road.
“We are in hopes that the Boil Water Advisories can be lifted this evening,” a statement from the city reads.
With the indication of the aim to have the precautionary advisories by Wednesday evening, residents in affected areas can potentially anticipate the return of standard water service by the end of the day

UPDATE: LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – As areas affected by the Monday night water shutdown in Lewisburg remain under a boil water advisory, efforts are underway to confirm the safety of the utility for consumption and use.
A Tuesday morning update from the City of Lewisburg indicates that the city has begun the process of flushing the water system and testing out of the boil water advisory.
The process is currently underway in the Renick area only, and further updates are expected throughout the day as developments are made.

LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The impact of a waterline break left residents of several Lewisburg areas without water on Monday night.
A statement from the City of Lewisburg indicated a waterline break at around 9:00pm Monday, the repairs for which would require a water shut-off for a number of locations.
Those affected by the shut-off include Church Street, Rt. 60 to Battle Hill Farms, Muddy Creek Mountain Rd. and Houfnaggle Road.
Additionally, it was announced that the impacted areas would go under a boil water advisory once water was restored.
“Water shut off is needed for repairs,” reads the statement. “Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter.”
While it was initially indicated that there was no estimated time for restoration of the utility, a subsequent update provided an expected restoration time of 1:00am Tuesday morning.
