The WVU Tech men will head into the Christmas break riding a four-game win streak after an impressive Tuesday afternoon performance inside the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
Piling up 64 points in the paint, the Golden Bears mauled Mid-Atlantic Christian 113-46.
Balance scoring and defense were the keys to victory for Tech who placed seven players in double figures with two more Golden Bears adding eight points each.
Thomas Hailey scored 20 points and had six rebounds, while Bluefield product Darrin Martin was perfect from the floor tallying 15 points to go along with five assists.
Former Shady Spring all-staters Braden Chapman and Cole Chapman added 13 points and six points, respectively. Cole handed out 10 assists and Braden had seven assists.
Cameron Danser tossed in 12 points and Brant Smithers had 11. Ashton Parker and Richard Fu each scored 10, while Oak Hill standout Andrew Work and Simon Tesfit added eight points each. Parker led the Golden Bears with 10 rebounds as well.
Tech (8-3) had 32 assists for the game on 46 made shots and was 11-for-26 from behind the arc.
The Golden Bears will host Taylor University Saturday Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. in Beckley before it jumps into the meat of the River States Conference Slate three days later.
Conference foe Brescia University will be first up for WVU Tech in the new year and that game will be played at the Summersville Arena and Convention Center.
