YADKIN COUNTY, NC (LOOTPRESS) – A groundbreaking ceremony was held this morning to commemorate the start of construction for Yadkin County Government’s newest building.
The property, located off East Elm St. in Yadkinville across from the courthouse, will become the new location for Yadkin County Tax Office, License Plate Agency, and Information Technology. The new addition will allow citizens to visit the Tax Office and License Plate Agency without visiting the courthouse while remaining in close proximity to other offices, such as the Register of Deeds.
The new building will also house Yadkin County Information and Technology. It will create a purpose-built space to allow staff to continue to provide IT, cybersecurity, and GIS services to staff and citizens.
The new construction is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2025.
