HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On Tuesday the City of Huntington announced several locations at which residents will be able to dispose of their Christmas Trees upon the conclusion of holiday-themed celebrations for 2022.
As folks collect their decorations and prepare to store them until the arrival of the next holiday season, Christmas Trees can present more significant issues than your typical, store-bought decor – this particularly holds true for live Christmas Trees.
Fortunately for those in the Huntington area, the city has released a whopping half a dozen locations at which unused Christmas Trees may be disposed at no cost.
It should be noted that residents have been discouraged from disposing of Christmas Trees along with regular household garbage, as sap from the trees may potentially cause damage to certain parts of packer trucks implemented in the disposal of the waste.
The free Christmas Tree drop-off locations as released by the City of Huntington are as follows,
Saint Cloud Commons upper parking lot
Harris Riverfront Park upper parking lot
Altizer Community Park
Former Olympic Pool site along Memorial Boulevard
Deitz Hollow drop-off site in Guyandotte
Parking lot of the old League 6 baseball field on Ferguson Road.
