LANARK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One individual has been charged in connection to a shooting incident which occurred Wednesday morning in the Raleigh County area.
According to Sheriff Canaday of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, at just before 9:00AM on Wednesday; Deputies with the department responded to a shooting on Arbor Lane in Lanark.
Arriving at the scene within a few minutes of the call, the suspect involved was reportedly apprehended quickly.
Aid was rendered to the victim involved until such a time as emergency medical services arrived.
The victim is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital and the injuries sustained as a result of the incident are believed to be non-life-threatening in nature.
The suspect, identified as Myles Williams, has been charged with one count of Attempted Murder, two counts of Wanton Endangerment, one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and a Felony Capias.
Williams was arraigned by a Raleigh County Magistrate and placed in Southern Regional Jail on $135,000.00 bond.
