BARBOURSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Orbit’s Record Shop will be hosting a block party event this weekend in celebration of Record Store Day, which falls on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
The music shop will look to recreate the success of last year’s commemorative Block Party event held in conjunction with Record Store Day 2022.
This year, the Barboursville establishment will be bringing food, drinks, live entertainment, various vendors, and more to celebrate one of the most highly anticipated days of the year for music fans.
The event will be hosted by Corduroy Brown and will feature exciting local acts such as Horseburner, Ducain, Jayce Turley, Ally Fletcher, New Clear Future, Neon Black, Jimi Mitchell and more, including a special appearance by Jamie “Kid Elvis” Reynolds.
Orbit’s will open its doors at 8:00am offering special deals only available to certified independently owned record stores. These rereleases will be available exclusively on a first come first served basis. The Block Party event will be set up along Central Avenue and live music will begin at 10:45am and run throughout the day. Food, vendors, and beer tents will be available on-site.
