BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – Theatre West Virginia (TWV) is continuing to support the local acting community. This time, they are doing so by supporting the Theatre Department and acting community of Woodrow Wilson High School (WWHS).
Scott Hill, General Manager of TWV, was excited to share that the first 1000 people to purchase a ticket to see WWHS’s winter production, “Fiddler on the Roof,” will receive an additional (and free) ticket to see “Hatfields and McCoys” or “Rocket Boys the Musical.” These two performances will be held at the Cliffside Amphitheatre in Grandview as part of TWV’s 62nd summer season.
Hill says this is a gift of roughly $20,000 as adult tickets to a TWV show are priced at $19.95.
Here’s the math:
A guest buys one ticket to “Fiddler on the Roof” for $15.00, that same guest will get a TWV Ticket FREE
A guest buys two tickets to “Fiddler on the Roof” for $30.00, that same guest will get 2 TWV Tickets FREE
A guest buys 100 tickets to “Fiddler on the Roof” for $1500.00, that same guest will get 100 TWV Tickets FREE
“Theatre West Virginia would not be here without the community’s support,” Hill explained. “It would be hypocritical of us not to help theatre groups out, so we try to do that as much as possible. We get a lot of actors out of that particular school and other high school programs. They do a lot of good work, and we need to support them.”
Woodrow Wilson’s “Fiddler on the Roof” will be performed at the Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium- located at 400 Stanaford Road in Beckley- on Feb. 25, Feb. 26, Feb. 27, Mar. 4, Mar. 5 and Mar. 6. Tickets, which are $15 for adults and $10 for children, will be available at the door.
