WASHINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Tuesday evening vehicle accident has left one man dead according to law enforcement.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that, at 7:21pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, deputies with the WCSO responded to reports of a vehicle accident with possible fatality in the 1300 block of Woodyard Creek Rd. in the census-designated area, Washington, WV in Wood County.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies observed the driver of a side-by-side – identified as Randell Thomas Arthur, 44 years old of Sandy Creek Rd in Washington, WV – had passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
A passenger involved – identified as Kamryn Diddle, 25 years old of Stewart, Ohio – was transported by personal vehicle to a facility to receive medical treatment for injuries sustained from the accident.
A subsequent investigation has led investigators to believe that Arthur had been traveling north on Woodyard Creek Road when he overcorrected after exiting the roadway, causing the side-by-side to overturn, fatally injuring the driver.
