CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Many plan to hit the road for the Labor Day weekend, and the West Virginia Department of Transportation says 420,000 vehicles are expected to pass through toll booths on the West Virginia Turnpike.

According to AAA, the current average price per gallon for regular gas stands at $3.64 in WV as of Saturday, September 2nd.

Charleston: $3.70
Hampshire County: $3.65
Huntington: $3.60
Jefferson County: $3.64
Mineral County: $3.57
Morgantown: $3.75
Parkersburg-Marietta: $3.48
Steubenville-Weirton: $3.64
Wheeling: $3.55
The national average for a regular gallon of gas is currently $3.81.
