MASON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One suspect recently had a run-in with law enforcement during an extensive vehicle pursuit.
According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday March 15, 2024, Putnam County Deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle which failed to yield. The attempted stop is reported to have quickly escalated into a pursuit.
The pursuit came in and out of Putnam and Mason counties multiple times until Mason County deputies were able to successfully bring the vehicle to a stop before it could make its way back to Rt 35.
The vehicle was brought to a halt in an area where other traffic and pedestrians in would not be placed in harms way.
No injuries or fatalities have been reported as a result of the situation, which is currently being investigated by members of the West Virginia State Police.
