LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Greenbrier County man is facing charges after he went to another man’s house with an axe, trying to talk to him.
According to Greenbrier County Deputies, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, a male victim reported that Jason Huffman was attempting to gain entry into his home with an axe. When deputies arrived, they witnessed a man carrying an axe matching the description of Jason Huffman on the property.
When deputies made contact with Jason, they located a bat, ski mask, and two knives. Huffman stated he was trying to get into the home to speak with the male victim. The victim stated Huffman placed him in fear of serious bodily injury due to him having an axe.
Huffman allegedly tore the metal underpinning of the victim’s home, attempting to speak with him.
Huffman was charged with destruction of property and assault. He is in Southern Regional Jail under a 5,000 dollar bond.
