Phillip Scot Lilly, 52, of Montgomery, WV, passed away at 1:03 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV after an extended battle with lung cancer. He was born on September 14, 1969 to the late John Lilly and Sheila Baldauf.
Phillip is survived by his longtime companion of over 10 years, Connie Keiffer of Montgomery. Phillip is also survived by his beloved children Jessica and husband, Larry Hunt of Chatham, Virginia, Phillip ‘PJ’ Lilly II and wife, Olivia of Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, Emily Lilly of Beckley, WV, and Joshua Keiffer of Charleston whom he considered his stepson. Phillip’s 5 grandchildren which were the joys of his life are Remi, Owen, Ezra, Cameron and Wyatt who he loved and cherished.
Phillip is also survived by his one sister, Sandra and husband Steve Moffatt of Texas, and his brother John and wife Kerrie Lilly of Crab Orchard, WV and their children, his loved nephews and nieces, Josh, Brittany, Tamber, Travis, Dylan and Anthony.
Other family includes Uncle Nelson Lilly and Twila ‘Aunt Dolly’ and husband Ronnie Harrell, close friend and cousin Mike Lilly from Lorain, Ohio and their many children and grandchildren. He also leaves behind his close friends, Donald Scalise and Ann Wheeler, both of Montgomery, Marceliza Boothe, Emma Lawless, Jason and Ernie Boothe.
Phillip earned his Associate and Bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering Technology from Bridgemont Community College and West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
He loved to give and spend his time with his children and grandchildren which meant so much to him. He was a perfectionist at anything he did. Phillip was a great carpenter and loved fishing, shooting, watching NASCAR, and was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan. He loved Luna, his dog, whom he enjoyed walking around the block.
A celebration of Phillip’s life by family and friends will be held on Saturday, 30 October 2021, at Little Beaver State Park at 1200.
